Spiritual Advisor to the Metuchen Cursillo Movement

On September 17, 2018 Cursillistas attended the celebration of the Holy Mass installing Fr. John Primich as the Spiritual Advisor to the Metuchen Cursillo Movement. The Mass was held at St. Bernard Church in Bridgewater, followed by a celebration after the Mass.

Bishop James Checchio has appointed Fr. John Primich as the Spiritual Advisor beginning in June 2018 for a three year period. Fr. Tim Christy, the Vicar General to the bishop, was the celebrant.

On July 20, 2018, Bishop James Checchio wrote:

Dear Father Primich,

By this letter, I am pleased to appoint you Chaplain for the Metuchen Cursillo Movement, an international Catholic evangelical apostolate. I appreciate your willingness to continue guiding this movement which enriches the prayer life of the people of our Diocese. This appointment is effective immediately and ends June 30, 2021.

Know of my gratitude and my prayerful support as you continue to assist and advise me in this spiritual aspect of the church of Metuchen.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Ron Jandernoa for his long extended service to the Metuchen Cursillo since 2009. May God richly reward him. Fr. Ron will continue to be active in the Metuchen Cursillo as his schedule permits.
